It is an honor and a pleasure to welcome you back for the 2016-2017 school year. Together as a learning community we will all work collaboratively to ensure the success of every student.
We will continue with Character Counts, a program designed to ensure excellent behavior. We will focus on the following character traits: respect, responsibility, caring, citizenship, fairness, and trustworthiness. Excellent attendance will also be heavily stressed at New Republic.
Our mission at New Republic is to focus on student learning. The teachers here at New Republic are implementing the Common Core State Standards and are dedicated to achieving student learning through collaboration and professional development. The entire New Republic staff works tirelessly to ensure that each student has an outstanding learning experience with access to rigorous instruction provided by highly qualified teachers.
Working together we can support student learning and celebrate student achievement. New Republic is very fortunate to have a
staff of dedicated and committed teachers.

The Santa Rita Union School District (Local Educational Agency) has adopted a policy that prohibits discrimination, harassment, intimidation, and bullying based on actual or perceived ancestry, age, color, disability, gender, gender identity, gender expression, nationality, race or ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or association with a person or a group with one or more of these actual or perceived characteristics. The policy includes the following: a) A statement that it applies to all acts related to school activity or school attendance within a school under the jurisdiction of the superintendent of the school district. b) Requirement that school personnel take immediate steps to intervene when safe to do so when he or she witnesses an act of discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or bullying.
